The trip to Valencia is short but enough to cover the top spots of the city.

The biggest travel tip I have to offer is to check whether your flight tickets include baggage. We carried an over stuffed bag that was jut the right weight for international baggage limits but forgot that we are flying locally within Spain. had to pay 90€ in baggage fees (30€ check-in bag fee + 60€ excess baggage). When possible take the bus instead of flying. The ticket is cheaper and you don’t have to worry about bag weight.

Valencia is known for its paella. We hope to try it tomorrow before we fly to Barcelona. The food here has been so-so. We’ve been eating at McDonalds, Taco Bell and Burger King as the local food is way too salty and almost inedible.

Walked around the city today exploring the architecture. Toured the old city of Valencia filled with historic monuments and also saw the new city of Valencia and its modern architecture.
